    Star Wars Dog Costumes

    May 21st, 2008

Here is a very unimpressed Darth Vader and Princess Leia dogs . As you can see from the video the dogs are totally not impressed with the fact that they are all dressed up. For the whole duration of the video they stand still and don’t budge.

What is it with dogs not being Star Wars fans, remember the dog dressed up as Yoda ? Benny was totally underwhelmed after he found himself dressed up as Yoda.

    American Football Dog Costume

    May 15th, 2008

Gunner likes football, be it chasing after balls, or laying on the couch with his master watching the game. Here is a picture of Gunnar in his jersey and football. This dog costume is simply a child’s football jersey put on Gunner.

    Dogs who look like frogs

    May 13th, 2008

Recently we showed you Sam the Frog, well today we are more than proud to show you Red, the Red Setter. He is proudly wearing his Frog head gear.  Red  takes  things a little too serious  sometimes, as you can see from this photo. He thinks that when  dressing up ,  it needs to be done properly and effectivly. Red would like to thank his mum and dad for having such a lovely son.

    Dogs dressed up like frogs

    May 8th, 2008

Everyone loves dogs and everyone loves frogs, put them both together, and you have Sam. Sam is the first in our series of frog dogs. When Sam is not licking his nose and dressed up like a frog, he likes to go swimming in the neighbours pool and he loves to sleep in the shade. He likes to jump as often as he can, be it from lilly pad to lilly pad or into (neighbours) pools. Sam is as energetic as a frog and would like to be reincarnated as one.

The cat who was a dog

    May 5th, 2008

Like most  dogs,  Jeff likes to chase cats.  He likes to chase cats so much that sometimes he really acts like one. One part of his act is to dress up in a little cat suit and crawl up on  unsuspecting cats.  Here Jeff is showing off his white cat suit

This cat suit has proved to be worth it’s wait in gold. But the only problem with it is that it hinders Jeff running at top speed.

    The Skunk Dog

    March 30th, 2008

This is Pepper, a little dog who has been put under cover. Pepper is dressed like a skunk, with the white markings on his nose, back and his tail. He is painted with a special hair coloring that washes out, so it’s not too permanent.

Pepper likes going undercover, and sometimes he does chase skunks.

    Pirate Dog Costume

    March 12th, 2008

Here is Fluffy who is dressed up as a pirate. His pirate costume is complete with a budgie (Harry) on his shoulder. Fluffy isn’t a great fan of dressing up, rather he prefers to chase cats and small ping-pong-balls.  This photo was taken last Halloween, and we can see Fluffy and Harry having a great time indoors.

He thinks that birds are just a waste of space, but never the less Fluffy is our best pirate todate ! Thanks to Stephen from KillZone 2 who took the time to email us the photo. Sorry it took us so long to get it posted, but I’m sure you will agree that it was well worth the wait.

    Charlie the Dachshund Puppy

    February 22nd, 2008

Sure you may have seen many these cute dogs in the past, but none are as cute as sausage dogs dressed up. I like to call them  hot-dog-dog, and I’ve snapped many in the past. Here is Charlie, who is a 4 year old Dachshund, all dressed up in his hotdog costume. Charlie, as well as being a Dachshund, is a very quite, relaxed dog. He’s not really into barking, even when some other dogs think he looks tasty in his little hotdog outfit ! This picture was taken the first time he wore his costume, but since this photo has been taken, there is a bite out of the back of the bun, I kid you not !

    doggie

I’ve done some research on these and other types of dog breeds and if you are looking for a reserved quite doggie then Dachshunds are for you. Being small they don’t need so much space, and can be even a city dog. Their small legs make them think they have walked alot further than other dog types. And Dachshund puppies are really great pets, they would surprise you how smart these guys are. Charlie knows when it’s time to go for a walk, and he knows that when I dress him up that he is off to somewhere special. One famous  was Waldi, he was the Olympic Mascot in 1972, when the Olympic games were held in Munich Germany. Here is a picture of the official Mascot, all dressed up in the Olympic colors.

The Dachshund apparently was chosen because it had the attributes resistance, tenacity and agility which are all things that the athletes should also stride for. If you are thinking of getting one, I can promise you that you will have a great time being an owner of a Dachshund.

    Bananna Dog Costume

    January 19th, 2008

Again Andy found a great picture for us. This time we have a few dogs dressed up for a photo shoot with the Bananna giant Chiquita. These four souls were getting ready for a new advertising campaign. These outfits look like they could be reused to protect your little dog from the rain too. I wonder will the be commercially available, of course I would expect that they would be free or very cheap, otherwise I don’t see many people making such a fool out of their dog in order to keep them dry.

Don’t they look absolutely ludicrous ? A dog dressed like a Bananna ?

    Fire Dog Costume

    January 16th, 2008

Here is Jake, proudly wearing his fire officer costume. This picture believe it or not was taken with a camera phone, hence it is a little smaller than our normal shots. If you are sending submissions do try and have them as BIG as possible (within reason that is)

Thanks to Andy for sending in this picture !
